I fully expected to have trouble sitting through this nearly three hour movie. Instead, I was pleasantly surprised by the fast pace and compelling narrative. I loved the nonlinear storylines, the gripping vignettes and thrilling action sequences. Moving in and out of time as seamlessly as it weaves in and out of lives and relationships, “Cloud Atlas explores how the actions of individual lives impact one another in the past, present and future, as one soul is shaped from a killer into a hero, and an act of kindness ripples across centuries to inspire a revolution.” Great movie. Mythology worthy of the Matrix and Bladerunner.

Ridley Scott’s “Prometheus” is filled with mythology and asks some of the biggest questions man has ever pondered. To it’s credit, it does not offer neatly packaged answers. Instead, it leaves most of the backstories unexplained. Why did the Engineers change their minds and decide to destroy life on earth? Why did the android David poison Holloway? What is going on in the beginning when the Engineer drinks the black goo? Tell us your theories and check out this interesting collection of fan sites that think they have the answers. Enjoy!
